Truly this is backstab on the economy. The real intention of Mr. Singh is to help his class allies (industrialists). Real motive of the scheme is to boost the consumption of cement and steel at the government expenses.

Sir Manmohan I challenge you. By now you show how many slum areas you have get vanished? There are nearly some lakhs of slums in India. If it is the case how many you get vanished in this week atleast one? You have to vanish atleast a thousand by now bearing in mind your slum projects. You built many Aawaas yojnaas and they are not filled yet.

Congress had never been interested in improving the light of people. Right from the independence struggle Indian bourgeois class has lead the Congress. They have always made the policies in favour of this class.

Govt make some scheme for the people at the expense of Tax payers noney but some vested Politicians take benefit out of it, All the schemes already floated have found the Plots and Houses with well to do persons . Nandgram in Ghaziabad is one colony which has now have been bought by well to do people with a lucrative price. Govt Agencies are party to it, so it will be continue. to benefit some people .

Will they hire the people living in the slums to build the housing units? Will they hire them to make the concrete, lay the roads, build and maintain the sanitation systems, put up the electric lines?
If they do, I will come help for free. I have 1 year left on my obligation, but after that I am free. My experience has mostly been in restoring older homes but I can teach people how to install toilets, paint and plaster, attach lighting fixtures and a few other things. If nothing else, I can help make food for the construction crews. That sounds like an awesome project! What kind of aid organizations are there that I could join? Here I am in the American Red Cross and Habitat for Humanity, they are wonderful but I would like to go to other countries too.
We have some old farts who try to make a buck off of the projects here too, they get shamed like mangy dogs in the newspapers when they are caught. There will always be despicable people, you can’t let them stand in the way.
